GAINSCO Gives for the Holidays!

Supporting the local communities where we do business has always been an essential part of the GAINSCO culture. During the holiday season, we wanted a way to maximize our philanthropic reach in the most meaningful way. To help show our support, we came up with a brand-new way to give!

Our Sales Leaders reached out to independent agents in their regions who shared their favorite local charity to support. We worked with them to provide monetary and gift donations in time for the holiday season. The charities have a special connection to each agency. An agent had volunteered, donated, or served on their chosen charities board for most of the selections.

Below is a recap of some of the charities we helped support alongside our agencies.

Frenchy’s Ride

GAINSCO Sales Leader Brandon Beasley stopped by Chanda Gatton Agency in Indiana to help the agents spread some holiday cheer. The agency chose to support Frenchy’s Ride, a local charitable event that provides Christmas gifts to low-income families and families experiencing temporary hardships. We were so thankful to help Chanda and team make sure that the kids of Morgantown, IN had the Christmas they deserve!

Operation Blue Santa

Sales Leader Anna McDaniel proudly teamed up with Giles Insurance Agency of Sulphur Springs, TX for a good cause. Anna and the agency collected toys and provided financial support for Operation Blue Santa, which provides toys and food for families in need during the holiday season.

Agent Support

Sales Leader Graydon Chambers was able to help out an agent in need by presenting a gift card to Jamie Woodruff of Carolina’s Choice Insurance in Spartanburg, SC, who lost her possessions in a recent house fire. Jamie now has some additional funds to help her get back on her feet.

L.I.F.E

Sales Leader Brandon Beasley doubled the giving spirit by supporting another agency’s favorite cause! He provided a donation on behalf of Thomas Insurance Company in support of L.I.F.E. Agent Angie Turner chose this organization because she serves on the board of directors. L.I.F.E delivers toys and gifts to low-income families or families who have experienced a loss of income. We’re grateful to be able to help families overcome the hardships brought on by the pandemic.

Ironton Lions Club

Sales Leader Scott McKee and the team at Thomas A. Walden Insurance donated to the Ironton Lions Club in Ohio. The money will support several beneficial community programs managed by the Lions Club that support both the youth and senior citizens of the town. They support local scholarships, fund glasses and hearing aids, and help organize the annual Christmas parade in Ironton.

Project Kidz N Care

Sales Leader Anna McDaniel made even more Christmas wishes come true with the hardworking agents at Texas Discount Insurance in Palestine, TX. Together, they bought gifts to donate to Project Kidz N Care, a local charity that provides Christmas gifts for children in the care of Child Protective Services. What a worthy cause for the GAINSCO Gives program to support!
